Responsibilities:
Every day is different for our LPNs. Our Nurses care for ill, injured or convalescing patients or persons with disabilities. You will be responsible for providing quality healthcare to each patient in adherence with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Examples of job duties are below.
- Receives and provides complete report on all assigned clients.
- Respects client’s rights and maintains confidentiality.
- Notifies immediate supervisor of changes in client’s conditions.
- Understands and uses aseptic technique.
- Prepares equipment and materials for treatments.
- Records all findings in clients’ clinical records.
- Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Nursing activities that may include:
1. Assessment.
2. Assistance in planning, evaluating and implementing client care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
3. Assisting clients with activities of daily living.
4. Teaching client self-care techniques.
5. Providing and maintaining safe environment for client.
6. Accepting responsibility of assignment to specialty area only when training has been provided.
7. Performing within the limits of preparation and experience.
8. Observing aseptic techniques when dealing with equipment and supplies used for treatment.
9. Assisting with client admission and discharges.
10. Notifying charge nurse or supervisor of changes in client’s condition or unusual symptoms.
Qualifications:

- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- Current License for state of New York
- 1 year of experience as an LPN (must be within the last 3 years)
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the area of practice
