We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for a 21-year-old female patient who experiences chronic seizures and requires assistance with catheter care and other supportive healthcare needs. This is a 40-hour per week, overnight position (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) based in Ave Marie.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working overnight shifts, possess a high level of attention to detail, and have experience or a willingness to learn about seizure management, catheter care, and patient support in a home setting.

Qualifications:
- Current unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of Florida
- Minimum one (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse in a supervised setting within the last three (3) years
- Successful completion of the skills assessment specific to the areas of experience including any specialty areas
- In compliance with state and Federal regulations
- Current CPR
- Active level two background with AHCA
- TB Test showing a negative result
Key Responsibilities:
- Seizure Management: Monitor, respond to, and provide appropriate care during seizure episodes. Ensure the patient's safety and well-being during and after seizures.
- Catheter Care: Assist with the patient’s catheter care, ensuring proper hygiene, catheter maintenance, and any required interventions to prevent infection or complications.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly check vital signs (temperature, heart rate, blood pressure) and respond to any abnormal findings.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications on time, ensuring accurate dosages and documenting any side effects or changes in condition.
- Patient Support & Comfort: Provide physical and emotional support to ensure the patient is comfortable and feels secure during the night shift.
- Care Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed care records, including seizure logs, catheter care logs, and vital signs.
- Communication: Regularly update the patient’s family or healthcare team regarding changes in condition, treatment, or concerns.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any medical emergencies, including seizures or health complications.
